Hi! My name is Jerilynn Schaefer. I was born and raised in Pearl City on the island of O'ahu. Currently, I reside in beautiful Mililani Town. I am a teacher at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School, where I have been teaching for the past 15 years. This will be my sixth year in 4th grade. Prior to teaching 4th grade, I taught Kindergarten for 9 years and 1 year in 5th grade special education.
I earned my Associates in Arts degree from Leeward Community College in 2004 and my Bachelor's of Education Degree with an emphasis in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May of 2006. I then went on to complete my Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership from Chaminade University in December 2012. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. My children range from ages 18 to 28. Russell (my husband) and I have been fortunate to have 2 boys and 2 girls. As a family, we enjoy bowling, traveling, and trying new foods. Paper crafting is a new hobby I have taken on that allows me a different way to relax! I look forward to learning and growing with your child this year! |
